George Hale
George Hale, 82, 709 S. 11th St., died 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19, 1991, at Godd Samaritan Regional Health Center. Mr. Hale was a taxi driver. He was born May 9, 1909, in Hughes, Ark., a son of George and Annie (Moore) Hale. Services were scheduled 11 a.m. today at Jackson Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. W. R. Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hale is survived by two sons, Gilbert Musgrave and Robert Bateman, both of Chicago; four daughters, Georgia Gates and Liz Farmer, both of Chicago, and Barbara Hale and Charlene Herron both of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Tom Hale of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
