The five-year-old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Will Haley, living in the Hopewell district, died Thursday from the effects of being burned. The little girl was trying to put out a fire on the carpet that was caused by a piece of burning wood falling out of the stove, and her dress caught fire and she was soon enveloped in flames. She lived but a few hours and was in terrible agony. The funeral was held at Hopewell Church Friday afternoon. Haley, Dela May F. W. Age 3y 8m 16d. Born Field Twp. Died Feb. 6, 1903, 3 a.m. in Field Twp. Of burns. Buried Hopewell Feb. 6. Undertaker E. E. Easley, A. Mack Frost, Dix.
