Herman Haley
Herman Haley, 72 , Waltonville, died 3:21 am April 13, 1991, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. Mr. Haley was a welder at Taylor Bros. Machine Shop in Tamaroa until retirement. He was born April 27, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, a son of William and Cora (Brookman) Haley. Nov. 19, 1939, in Clarksville, Mo., he married Nettie Geneva Traghber, who died Oct. 15, 1982. He later married Zelma Tomazic, who survives. Services will be 10:30 am Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Jesse Allen officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 am Monday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Mr. Haley is survived by two sons, Allen L. Haley and wife, Mary, and Robert L. Haley and wife, Norma all of Waltonville; one daughter, Mrs. Grant (Sondra) Cortelloni of Waltonville; two brothers, Lawrence Haley and wife, Pearl, and Jesse Haley and wife, Beulah, all of Greenville one sister, Mrs. Beulah Harp of Brighton, Colo.; four grandchildren, Monty, Scott and Chris Haley and Brian Cortelloni; and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Haley was a Baptist. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
