On Tuesday night he suffered a severe stroke at his home, 2507 Broadway, and was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where he remained in critical condition until his death. A lifetime citizen of this community, Dr. Hamilton had served Mt. Vernon as a physician and surgeon for many years. As a young doctor he went overseas during World War I as a Captain in the Medical Corps and served with British forces. Funeral Sunday. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. William E. Griffiths will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
