Merwin Hampton
Merwin Hampton Dies Today at Age Of 73 Years Merwin Hampton, of 320 south 13th street, died at 5:00 o'clock this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past week. Mr. Hampton, a retired railway brakeman, was 73 years, 11 months and 18 days of age. The body waas taken to Myers Chapel. Funeral arrangements were incomplete. Mr. Hampton was born June 13, 1892 at McLeansboro, the son of Isaaac D. and Mattie (Hamill) Hampton. He was married to Beulah Smith, who preceded him in death in 1937. Mr. Hampton was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by one son, harold Hampton of Waukegan, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. helen Marlow of Waukegan; one brother, Harold D. Hampton of Evansville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Joy Jines of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren.
