A.C. Haney, Resident of Walnut Hill, Ill Dies, May 6,1941 A.C.Haney 77,died at his home in Walnut Hill, Ill. Tuesday evening after a short illness. He had lived at Walnut Hill the last seventeen years, having worked on a farm near there previous to retirement. He was born to J.W. and Margaret Blanton, Haney in Jefferson County, Illinois, Ill., in 1864 and was twice married. The first time to Sophia Windel. He was then married to Anna Brooks. who survives him. He was a member of of the Methodist Church. Surviving him other than his wife, are eight daughters, Ona, Almedia, Esther and Lucille at home. Miss Jack Harris also of Walnut Hill, Mrs. James Rhynes and Mrs. Laura Patton of Centralia, and Mrs. Luther McFall of Muscatine, Iowa. One stepdaughter, Mrs. Albert Hamilton. Two sisters, Mrs. Judy Moore and Mrs. James Fry of Paw Paw, Michigan. One brother, Ransom Haney of Smithville, Ark. 20 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. Services were held at Boggs Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday. with Rev. Irvin Smith. He was buried at Gilead Cemetery in Marion Co, Illinois.
