Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hayes died last night about 9:45 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Nelson, three-fourths of a mile south of Range.

Mrs. Hayes was born in St. Clair county, but has spent the greater part of her life in Jefferson county. Her age was 82 years.

She was stricken with illness about eight months ago, and never recovered from the attack, which resulted in her death yesterday.

She is survived by one son Albert Hayes of Oklahoma, one sister Mrs. L. C. Baldridge and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hopewell Church.
