George W. Hayse of Bonnie Dies This Morning George W. Hayse, 85, the last Civil War veteran residing in Bonnie, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, W. A. Hayse, with whom he has been making his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 10:30 A. M. at the First M. E. church in Bonnie, with burial following at Hickory Hill cemetery. Rev W. E. Shaffer will conduct the services. Mr. Hayse is survived by two sons, W. A. Hayse of Bonnis, Charles Hayse of California, and a daughter, Mrs. Dora Moore of Benton. For the past three weeks he has been confined to his bed, and has gradually grown weaker until his death today. A veteral of the Civil War, Mr. Hayse was one of the few remaining in this county and believed to have been the only one residing in Bonnie. Although always residing in the Bonnie vicinity, Mr Hayse was well known over that entire section of the county. Since the death of his wife some time ago, he has made his home with his son.
