Mrs. Mary HERDMAN received a telegram yesterday evening from her brother-in-law, Dr. T. H. Herdman telling of the death of his wife which took place at their home at Lebanon, Ill., on Thursday.

The funeral will be held on Saturday.

Mrs. Herdman was well known in Mt. Vernon, her husband at one time having been a minister in this city.
