Mary Ethel HILL, 83, Ina, a former resident of Sesser, was stricken with an apparent heart attack while attending worship services at the Missionary Baptist Church in Ina Sunday and at 11:30 a.m. while enroute to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was the oldest active member of the church.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ina Missionary Baptist Church of which she was a member with the Rev. James BENTON officiating. Burial was in Kirk Cemetery under direction of Ina Funeral Home.

Mrs. HILL was born July 3, 1882, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Washington and Addie (WOODS) CHILTON.

She was married to Enoch HILL who preceded her in death July 19, 1930.

Several nieces and nephews survive.
