Lois Hodge, 86, of Mt. Vernon died 9:04 a.m. Aug. 16, 2005, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was a beauty operator, retired from the Beauty Nook in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Hodge was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Jefferson County to Wiley O. and Mabel (Moore) Thomas.

She married Ralph Hodge May 10, 1962, in Mt. Vernon; he preceded her in death Aug. 25, 1995.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn-Oddfellows Cemetery in Woodlawn. The Rev. Melvin Larson will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Hodge is survived by special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sue Cobb; and two sisters, Alice Wetzer and Marilyn Thomas.
