Rose (Morales) Hodge

Rose Hodge Of Waltonville Died At Age 51

Mrs. Rose Hodge, 51, Waltonville, died at 12:22 a.m. Saturday at Scott Air Force Base Medical Center.

Mrs. Hodge was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dec. 4, 1931, the daughter of Jose and Sagario (Salne) Morales.

On Jan. 28, 1956, in Newark, N. J., she married Gary Lloyd Hodge, who survives.

She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey for three years and attended Seton Hall University in New Jersey for one year. She was a veteran of the Korean Conflict during which she served with U. S. Navy Intelligence.

Mrs. Hodge was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 9153 of Waltonville and a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post 4 in Mt. Vernon. She belonged to Eastern Star in Sesser. She was a Catholic.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fry and Frick Funeral Chapel in Waltonville, with the Rev. Clifford Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 6 and 9 p.m. today.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Lloyd Charles “Chuck” Hodge at home; one daughter, Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Hodge at home; and two brothers Ben Morales of Roselle Park, N. J., and Joseph Morales of Nutley, N. J.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary Wayne.
