Minnie Pauline Hodgson, 88, of Mt. Vernon died 10:45 p.m. Dec. 23, 2004, at her home.

She was born May 6, 1916, at Englewood, Tenn., to Ed Gentry and Bessie (Copeland) Gentry.

She was married to Jim Hodgson; he preceded her in death.

She was retired from C.R. Rawhide Industry.

Graveside services are set for 1 p.m. today at Odd Fellow’s Cemetery in Dahlgren. Those attending this service are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Monday. The Rev. Kenneth Holland will officiate. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hughey Funeral Home.

Survivors include brother Jerry Gentry of Elgin; nephews Robert Gentry and wife Jane of Dahlgren, Jerry Overby of Belle Rive, and Jimmy Holland of Elgin; nieces Joyce Wyatt and husband Luther of St. Charles, Donna Pierce of Bonnie and Teresa Hudgins and husband Dick of Glendale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Ralph, Edward and Abie Gentry; sisters Bertha, Dorothy and Thirsie.

She was of the Baptist Faith.
