Ferd Holloway Former Grocer Here, Dies at 67

Ferd Holloway, 67, former well known Mt. Vernon grocer, died suddenly yesterday in the Clay County Hospital at Flora.

Mr. Holloway operated a grocery store for years in the 400 block of Casey Avenue.

He retired some time ago and was residing in Xenia, near Flora, at the time of his death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Brush Creek Auditorium, south of Xenia. The Rev. Harry Henson will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

The body was removed today to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Knapp in Xenia. Mrs. Knapp is a sister of Mrs. Holloway.

Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife, Ella; two brothers, Dr. E. E. Holloway of Centralia and Deal Holloway of Orchardville; and three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Taylor and Mrs. Lavina Lee of Orchardville and Mrs. Minnie Fatheree of Xenia.
