Emmarillis Joann Hopper, 65, of Dix died 7:20 a.m. Oct. 29, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Hopper was born Oct. 14, 1939, in a log cabin in Boyd to Harold and Viola (Dodson) Reaney.

She married Richard E. Hopper May 3, 1957, in Mt. Vernon; he survives.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hopewell Cemetery. John Ashby and Bryan Austin will officiate. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Sunday. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Hopper is survived by her husband, Richard E. Hopper of Dix; sons Richard H. Hopper of Texico and James A. Hopper of Dix; a daughter, Carole Hopper of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Amber and Brittney Hopper; brothers H.W. Reaney and wife Susie of Calvert City, Ky., Larry Reaney and wife Linda of Royalton; a brother-in-law, Jerry Hopper and wife Nancy of Bluford; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Ricchetti of Jackson, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, John Calvin.

Mrs. Hopper was a member of Panther Fork Baptist Church.
