Sandra Joyce Howard, 48, of Centralia, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at her home.

She was born March 11, 1960, in Granite City, daughter of Richard Eugene and Lois Jean Wrolen.

She married Paul Boward on Oct. 30, 1995, in Pickett, Ark., and he survives in Centralia.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her mother, Lois Jean Wrolen of Centralia; two sons, Brandon Gibson and wife Carolyn of Centralia, and David Gibson and wife Stephanie of Centralia; a daughter, Kristina (Gibson) Marsh and husband Ed of Centralia; four step-children, Sherman Dean Howard of Decatur, William Dean Howard of Taylorville, Deanna Howard of Salem, and Renae Wiedenkeller of Decatur; three brothers, Richard Dean Wrolen of Centralia, Robert David Wrolen of Sandoval, and Randy Wrolen of Indiana; one sister, Nellie Beth (Wrolen) Long of Salem; nine grand-children, Emily Howard, Elexis Gibson, Trentyn Gibson, Haliegh Marsh, Stephen Marsh, Ryan Marsh, Megan Mulvaney, Maliyah Lenzini, and Joseph Beaupre; three nieces, Tiffany Pitts, Heather Wrolen, and Jairnie Long; and three nephews, Joseph Long, PFC Benjamin Long, and Joshua Pitts.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Howard was a member of The Apostolic Church of Salem.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with Rev. Calvin Jean officiating. Interment will follow at Boyd Cemetery in Dix.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
