J. W. Howell, 90, Dies In Hospital; Rites Wednesday

James William Howell of 401 Harrison died at 1:23 p.m. yesterday in Jefferson Memorial hospital. He was 90 years, eight months and 23 days old.

Funeral services will be he1d at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Myers Chapel with Rev Bird Green officiating. Burial will be in Black Oak Ridge cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call at any time.

Mr. Howell was born Sept. 16, 1867 in Marlow, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Howell.

He was married to Juda Moore, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Luther Howell of Mt Vernon, Arthur Howell and Walter Howell of Herrin, one brother, J Robert Howell of Opdyke; and one grandchild.
