Mary Florence (Russell) Howell
Aged Resident Of Bluford Dies Mary Florence Howell died at 9:05 last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lacey Mendenhall, in Bluford. She was 77 years, ten months and 30 days of age. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the Bluford Baptist church and burial will follow at Black Oak Ridge cemetery. The Rev. Bird Green and the Rev. J.R. McDuffy will have charge of the service. Mrs. Howell was born in Jefferson county and was the wife of F. M. Howell who preceded her in death 16 years ago. She is survived by two sons, Russell and Charles, both of Bluford; Nellie of Opdyke; two brothers, Lou Russell of Bluford, Frank Russell of Springfield; one sister, Almeda Elkins of Mt. Vernon, and 14 grandchildren. The body was removed from the Keenes Funeral home to the home of Russell Howell in Bluford where it will remain until the funeral hour.
