Grace Maude (Phillips) Huff
Grace Maude Huff, 89, R. R. 2, Clinton, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 11, 1981, at 9 a.m. at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 14, 1981, at Herington-Calvert Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Schimidt officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, Ill. She was born September 5, 1891, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., a daughter of John and Mary Tate Phillips. She married H. O. Piercy January 12, 1911. He preceded her in death. She then married Bert L. Huff May 22, 1948 in Hannibal, Mo. He died February 6, 1977. Survivors include one son, Wayne Piercy, of Mt. Vernon, Il.; one daughter, Wilma Walden, of Clinton, Il.; four step-sons, Bert Huff Jr., and Delmar Huff of California; Norman Huff of Tacoma, Wash., and Wilbur Huff of Centralia, Wash.; one brother, Bert Phillips of Moweaqua, Il.; two sisters, Blossom Herron of Toluca, Il., Doris Cooley of Moweaqua, Il.; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three brothers and four sisters. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Clinton, to which memorials may be made.
