James Dean "Jim" Hughey, 34, 808 N. Seventh St., was dead on arrival 2:45 am April 21, 1990, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

Mr. Hughey was a core operator at Dowzer Electric Co.

He was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Mt. Vernon, a son of John R. and Doris Jean (Brown) Hughey Sr.

He married Donna Clark.

Services will be 1:30 pm Monday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Buss Hart officating, Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.

Friends may call 5 to 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hughey is survived by one son, James Eric Hughey, and one daughter Angela Dawn Hughey, both of Mt. Vernon; his father, John R. Hughey Sr. of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. David (Brenda) Richardson Mrs. Gary (Gloria J.) Shirrell and Gladys Hughey, all of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Tom R. Hughey and wife Denielle, William E. Hughey and wife, Kathy, and Frank L. Hughey and wife, Faith, all of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hughey was a baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Jean Hughey; one sister, Janet Marie Hughey; and one brother, John R. Hughey Jr.
