U. S. Hunt

U. S. Hunt, 71, Dies At Range; Funeral Sunday

U. S. (Oat) Hunt, a prominent farmer and stock man, died at 8:20 o'clock last night at his home near Range at the age of 71 years, eight months and nine days.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Church, conducted by the Rev. C. I. Heflin of Kell. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Saturday, then will be taken to the family home, where friends may call up to the funeral hour.

Mr. Hunt was the son of Joseph E. and Narcissa Ann (Ratliff) Hunt.

He was united in marriage with Etta Reed in 1901.

He had lived on the same farm near Range for the past 22 years. Mr. Hunt confessed faith in Christ at his home two weeks ago.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Pennington, Mrs. Mabel Minor and Mrs. Mae Sechrest, all of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Roy Hunt of Mt. Vernon and Conley Hunt of Evansville, Ind.; one brother, L. T. Hunt of Longwood, Fla.; and two sisters, Bertha Brannon of Ovieda, Fla., and Ada Brown of Winter Park, Fla.
