Clarence Willington Hyde
Clarence Willington HYDE died at 11:15 last night at his home on RFD 3, Mt. Vernon. Mr. HYDE, an employee of the International Shoe Company, was 63 years, 4 months, and 11 days of age. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pulley Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J. G. PARSONS will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. HYDE was born in Clinton, Ill. on November 13, 1892, the son of William HYDE and Rebecca (HASSINGER) HYDE. On January 2, 1916 he was married to Blanche DALBY, who survives. He was a member of the South Hickory Hill Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Vivian MERRIMAN of Belle Rive; two grandchildren; and four brothers, Walter of Mt. Vernon, Warren of Bonnie, Erwin of Decatur and James of Odin. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
