Walter C. Ingram
Walter C. Ingram, 61, of 1707 Isabella, died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday at his home. He was a route man for Dowzer Electric. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hughey-Pulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Kirst officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. Mr. Ingram was born in Carbondale on April 9, 1913, the son of Henry and Minnie (Heilman) Ingram. On Aug. 3, 1941, in Metropolis, he married Roberta Questelle, who survives. Mr. Ingram served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Faith lutheran church and the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702, West Frankfort. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Ingram, Mt. Vernon; his wife, Mrs. Roberta Ingram, Mt. Vernon; two sons, Terry DeLon Ingram, Telluride, Colo;, and Kyle Kris Ingram, at home; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Conrad and one daughter.
