James Earl Isaacs
James Earl Isaacs Tucson Arizona James Earl Isaacs, 58 a former Mt. Vernon resident, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 in Tucson. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Kenneth Holland officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Smith Veterans Cemetery in Belle Rive. Friends may call from 1 p.m. on Friday until time of service to the funeral home. Mr. Isaacs was born on Nov. 15, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Carl G. and Rosie Marie (Gibbs) Isaacs. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include two sons, two daughters and six grandchildren all of Florida; his father, Carl G. Isaacs of Benton; two brothers, Carl J. Isaacs of Bonnie, and George Edward Isaacs of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one sister, Madge Hayes of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, a daughter, and one brother.
