MRS. LAURA ISOM OF SESSER DIES

Mrs. Laura Mae Isom, 76, of Sesser died in Franklin Hospital, Benton.

She was born May 26, 1890, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Erastus and Lydia Johnson Barnett.

She leaves her husband, Hershel; sons, Virgil Marlow of Sesser and Bill Newbury of Waltonville; a daughter, Mrs. Vada Hall of Sesser; step-sons, Harry Isom of Florida, Albert Isom of South Carolina and Max Isom of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sesser Baptist Church with the Rev. E. A. Summers officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Tamaroa. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Her first husband was Harry B. Marlow b Mar 21, 1889 d Mar 6, 1924. They had two children Virgil and Vada.

I do not have any information on possible marriage to a Newbury (since the obit mentions a son Bill Newbury).
