Nelson R. Isom, 78, Waltonville died at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 15 at his home in Waltonville.

Funeral services for Mr. Isom will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville with the Rev. Floyd Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville. Friends may visit after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A retired truck driver, Mr. Isom was born Dec. 17, 1900, in Jefferson County to Ira and Zula (Clampet) Isom.

On August 29, 1919, he married the former Inez V. Green, who preceded him in death in 1974.

Mr. Isom is survived by a son, Ralph Isom, Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Evelyn) Tolley, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Merle (Faye) Rightnowar, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Harry (Jean Ann) Scroggins, Waltonville; four sisters, Mrs. Gusta Lackey, Sesser, Mrs. Fern Atkins, Waltonville, Mrs. Eudene Dees, Waltonville, and Mrs. Louise Cox, Fulton, Mo.; five grandchildren; one foster grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two foster great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Isom was prececed in death by two sons, a sister and three brothers.
