The funeral for Homer Johnson, 92, 2515 Benton Road, will be 2 pm Thursday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with the Rev. Roy Beal officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home form 5 to 8 pm Wednesday.

Mr. Johnson died at 7:50 pm Sunday at his residence.

He was born Dec. 4, 1893, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Charles F. and Julia (Montgomery) Johnson.

Survivors include one nephew, Russell B. Phillips and his wife, Esther, of Bryan, Texas; and several nieces and other nephews.

Mr. Johnson was a World War I veteran.

He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Elk's Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
