Brenda Jo (Dalby) Kash

Brenda Jo (Dalby) Kash, 82, of Bonnie, IL, passed away peacefully at her home holding her husband's hand, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024.

She was born December 3, 1941 in Ina, IL to the late Richard and Mae Dalby.

Brenda married Wayne Kash on April 29, 1960 and they enjoyed nearly 64 years of marriage.

In addition to her loving husband, Brenda is survived by her daughters, Debra (Greg) Harvey of Bonnie, Karen (Jeff) Moore of Bonnie, and Stacey (Brian) Klingler of Waltonville.

She was a loving Grandma and MomMom to her grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Karch of Metamora, Chris (Lindsay) Harvey of Mt. Vernon, Derek (Sarah) Moore of Mt. Vernon, Dalton Moore of Bonnie, and Brendan Klingler and Reese Klingler of Waltonville; and great grandchildren Brady Karch of Metamora, Alivia Harvey and Toby Harvey of Mt. Vernon, and Carson Moore, Claire Moore, and Cora Moore of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by her brother Russell (Debbie) Dalby of Mt. Vernon; brothers and sisters-in-law, NomaLee Kash of Mt. Vernon, Phyllis Kash of Waltonville, Jack (Audrey) Kash of Waltonville, Bill Pierce of Bonnie, Helen Kash of Bonnie, Glenda (Jim) Downen of Ina, and several nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Sula Kash, and sister-in-laws Norma Kash, Bea Kash, JoAnn Pierce, Darlene Kash, and brother-in-laws Floyd Kash, Virgil Kash Jr., Billy Kash, Bobby Kash, and Kenny Kash.

Brenda was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She poured her heart and soul into building a life of love with her husband, their three daughters, and their families. She centered her life around Faith, Family, and Farming. She worked side by side with her husband building their legacy of owning and operating their own farm, which they lovingly referred to as the Clay Hill Farm. She became known as Farmer Lady as she hauled grain, drove tractors, and helped care for the livestock on their farm. Her life was a testament to her selflessness and kindness that she offered with her choice of sweet words. To know her was to love her and to feel loved by her. She was a devoted and long time member of Ina Free Will Baptist Church. Her faith in the Lord was of the utmost importance to her and she made sure her family always attended church. She passed her unwavering faith in God on to her family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ina Free Will Baptist Church, Ina, IL. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Ina Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Brad Ryan and Brother David Shores officiating. Interment will follow at Kirk Cemetery, Ina, IL.
