Mary M. (Williams) Kelley
Mary M. KELLEY, wife of ex-Auditor Capt. William B. KELLEY, died at her home at Kelley's three miles east of here Friday last at 6 p.m., after a long spell of sickness.
She was born February 28, 1843 in Jefferson County, Illinois, married at Spring Garden in the same state in 1862; started for Washington Territory in the spring of '64, arriving in Pierce County in the fall of the same year, being nine months on the way; settled shortly afterward on the present homestead. She leaves a husband and 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter, the youngest being 13 years old. Mrs. KELLEY was the oldest sister of C. E., W. A., J. A. & C. E. WILLIAMS, Mrs. F. J. McGREGGOR, Mrs. Kate COLE and Mrs. Alice HARVILL, all of Washington. The burial services conducted by the Rev. W. W. GRAY took place at the Sumner Cemetery Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. The funeral was largely attended.
