Mrs. A. E. KIRK died at the family home in McClelland Township Friday morning shortly before 11 o'clock of a paralytic stroke which she suffered about a month ago. She would have been 63 years old in September.

Mrs. KIRK's maiden name was Anna G. WHITLOCK, the daughter of Randall WHITLOCK. She was born in Todd County, Kentucky, moving to this county with her parents when she was seven years old.

She was an active member of the Christian Church, having become a member at Bonnie 23 years ago.

She married A. E. KIRK 29 years ago, the husband surviving her.

She leaves four brothers and three sons. The former are Geo. WHITLOCK of Field Township, P. A. WHITLOCK of Wayne County, and Lee WHITLOCK of St. Louis. The sons are Edward KIRK of this city, George KIRK of McLean County, and Charles KIRK of St. Louis.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Hickory Hill Church and the body of the loved one was laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining. Rev. Elijah COLLINS officiated at the services.
