Earl (Junior) KIRK, died Tuesday night at his home in East St. Louis following a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Whittington with the Rev. Lestal WYATT officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Whittington. The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday.

He was born August 23, 1922, in East St. Louis, the son of Earl and Mary Jane (BURTON) KIRK.

For 19 years, he operated a newstand in that city.

Surviviors include several uncles and aunts in Jefferson and Franklin Counties.
