Edward P. KIRK of Fresno, Calif., a former resident of Jefferson County, died suddenly of a heart attack at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. KIRK had resided in California for the past 30 years, where he worked as a bridge contractor and builder.

He is survived by his wife, the former Violet BAKER; seven children, all of whom reside in California; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary PETERSON and Mrs. Hubert DANNER, both of Mt. Vernon; and a brother-in-law, Norris BAKER of Bonnie.
