John P. Kirk
John P. KIRK, a lifetime resident of Bonnie, died at 4:15 o'clock this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital. His age was 82 years, seven months and 29 days. Mr. KIRK, a farmer, was also employed for a number of years by the C. & E. I. Railroad. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bonnie Church of God and burial will be in Cubb Cemetery. The body will be taken from Myers Chapel to the family home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, where friends may call until the funeral hour. Mr. KIRK was born May 6, 1869 in Jefferson County, the son of John and Josephine (CASEY) KIRK. He was married to Lourana HALE, who preceded him in death in 1932. Mr. KIRK is survived by two sons, Curtis of Bonnie and Earl of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. Retha CARROLL and Mrs. Letha SUDDARTH of Nashville, Tenn.; three half sisters, Mrs. Victoria HOOTS of Bonnie, Mrs. Ethel OATHOUT of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Lavera HOLTSLAW of Salem; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
