Mrs. Ray Kirkpatrick Of Bluford Is Dead Bessie Ethel Kirkpatrick, life-long resident of Jefferson county, died at 2:50 am today at her home, RFD 3, Bluford, at the age of 50 years, one month and 15 days. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born in Jefferson county November 29, 1894, to Logan and Minnie (Edminson) Marlow. She was united in marriage January 18, 1910, in Bluford to Ray Kirkpatrick, who survives. She also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Opal Friend, Bluford, and Miss Helen Kirkpatrick, at home; two sons, Melvin, U.S. Army and Walter Ray, at home; two brothers, Earl Marlow, Opdyke, and Foster Marlow, Mt. Vernon; and one grandchild. Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. Funearl services will be held at the Pulley Funeral home Wednesday at 2 pm with the Rev. Bird Green officiating. Burial will be in East Hickory Hill cemetery. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the East Hickkory Hill Baptist church. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral home after 6 pm today.
