Fern Klein of Waltonville Dies

Mrs. Ferne (Hartley) Klein, wife of Charles C. Klein, died at 6:15 o'clock Sunday evening at her home on RFD 1, Waltonville. Her age was 52 years, nine months and 24 days.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. W. J. Arms, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Universalist church in Waltonville. Burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery. The body will remain at Myers chapel, where friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Klein was born September 20, 1893 near Waltonville, the daughter of James and Cora (Foreman) Hartley. She was a lifetime resident of Jefferson county.

In October, 1931, she was married to Charles C. Klein, who survives.

She was a member of the Universalist church in Waltonville.

Surviving, besides her husband, are her mother, Mrs. Cora Hartley of Waltonville; one son, James C. Barnett of Waltonville; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Hertenstein of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Clive F. Hartley of Waltonville; and four grandchildren.

Her father and one brother preceded her in death.
