Sarah E. Knapp, Dies at Age 85; Rites Saturday Mrs. Sarah E. Knapp, of 1916? Park Avenue, ided at 8:00 o'clock last night at Jefferson County Memorial hospital at the age of 85 years, three months and 13 days. Mrs. Knapp suffered a fractured hip recently in a fall at her home. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time until the funeral hour. Mrs. Kanpp was born September 18, 1865 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Bluford and Emma (Branson) Harlow. She was the last survivor of a family of eight members. She was married December 27, 1884, in Opdyke, Ill., to Ezekiel M. Knapp, who died in 1900. Mrs. Knapphad been a member of the Park Avenue Baptist church for many years. She is survived by three sons, John R. Knapp of Colome, South Dakota, George M. Knapp of Hasting, Nebraska and Walter K. Knapp of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Goldie Conn of Mt. Vernon, MRs. Turla W. Jones of McAllen, Texas, and MRs. Marinda C. Boyle of Los Angeles, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Emma Gossage of Marlow; 16 grandchildren and 13(8?) great grandchildren. At her beside at the time of death were Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Jones of McAllen, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Knapp of Colume, South Dakota, Mrs. Marinda Boyle of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. and MRs. Walter Knapp of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harlow, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Huston and Mr. and Mrs. Geoge Conn, of this vicinity. Source: Mt.
