Della Almeda (Pearson) Koons
Della Almeda Pearson Koons was born November 29th, 1874 in Moore's Prairie Township, Jefferson County, Illinois. She was the daughter of William N. and Sarah T. Pearson, and was united in marriage to Robert A. Koons August 10th, 1893 to which union was born one daughter, Leota. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Ed B. Moss, one grandchild Bob Ed Moss, one sister, Mrs. George Hill, Whittington, Ill., and the following brothers; Frank Pearson of Ohio, Charles of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Howard of Whittington, Illinois. She was a resident of Mt. Vernon for many years moving to a farm in Shiloh Township about one year ago. Mrs. Koons illness extended over a period of more than three years, her condition becoming critical early in March. During all this time she bore her suffering with much fortitude. She had many friends in Mt. Vernon and vicinity, in whom she manifested a great interest to the end which came at 10 p.m. Saturday, March 31st., in her sixieth year.
