Howard R. Koons - D. September 25, 1949

Howard R. Koons, 43, of Spaulding Drive, Bath, died at Bath Memorial Hospital Sunday.

Born in Mt. Vernon June 15, 1906, he was the son of Joseph and Ora Englett Koons.

He was formerly employed at the Babcock Ladder Factory and at the time of his death was an employee of the Pleasant Valley Wine Cellars in Hammondsport.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are his widow, Gladys Stephens Koons, his father, Joseph Koons of Bradenton, Florida, sisters, Mrs. Pauline Miller of Glen Rock, N.J., Mrs. Maxine Brown of Oregon City, Ore., brothers Ward of Flushing, Clarence of Hornell, Warren of Palmetta, Fl.and Deforest of Oregon city.

Funeral services were held from the Bond Funeral Home Wednesday, Rev. Arthur C. Rehme officiating.
