Funeral Sunday For Nellie Laird

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Davenport Laird, 85, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Belle Rive Methodist Churcvh. The Rev. William Swyear and the Rev. O. R. Buess will officiate and burial will be in New Hope cemetery.

The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, when it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Laird died yesterday morning at her home, 629 south 17th street.

She is survioved by three daughters, Bonnie Nell Smith of Mt. Vernon, Alma Clifton of Marlow and Gladys Baker of Belle Rive; five sons, Jesse D. and Wilber S Laird of Mt. Vernon, Charlres E. and Raymond H. Laird of FUlton, S.D. and Clarence R. Laird of Huron S.D., three sisters, Josephine Rogers of Glendale, Calif., Bess Crorkin of Gillespioe, Ill. and Florence Waters of Mt. Vernon; ten grandchildren anad seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.
