Mrs. Dessa Lane Dies at Age 60; Rites Tomorrow

Mrs. Dessa Leona Lane, of 1212 south 13th street, died at 1:30 pm yesterday at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital. Her age was 60 years, one month and 18 days.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Bird Green officiating.

The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Lane was born February 20, 1891 in Keenes, the daughter of James H. and Ida (Sterns) Burge.

She was married to Amos Lane who preceded her in death Augustu 3, 1944.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vada Bruce of Eckerty, Ind., Mrs. Mabel Green of Chicago and Mrs. Delora Belong of Mt. Vernon; five sons, Virgil and Vern of Chicago, Roy and Jimmy of Mt. Vernon and Bert of Jefferson, South Dakota; her step-mother, Emma Burge or Wayne City; a brother, Elwin Burge of Centralia; two half-sisters, Mrs. Noma Richardson and Mrs. Lottie Hand of Wayne City; and a half-brother, Elmo Burge of Wayne City.
