June LaSara Of Mt. Vernon Died At Age 62

June LaSara, 62, 1517 Dodds St., died 9:58 a.m. Aug. 15, 1989, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

Mrs. LaSara was a retired inspector for the U. S. Naval Ordnance Plant.

Mrs. LaSara was born June 9, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of John and Luna (Rightnowar) Beckman.

Sept 1, 1956, in Urbana, she married Victor LaSara, who died July 20, 1988.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. LaSara is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Claude (Vickie) Bledsoe and Mrs. Steve (Valerie) Shields, both of Woodlawn; three grandchildren, Matthew Bledsoe, Megan Bledsoe and Elizabeth Shields, one brother, Johnie Beckman and wife, Jewell Dean, of Bonnie; one sister, Mrs. Velma Wilson of Bonnie; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. LaSara was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. LaSara was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
