Virginia Mae (Nelson) Lemay
Virginia Mae Lemay, 62, of Danville and a former resident of the Mt. Vernon area, died 7:20 pm Sept. 18, 1992, at United Samaritan Medical Center on Sager Campus in Danville. Mrs. Lemay was a retired beauty operator. Born March 22, 1930, in Christian County, she was a daughter of Samuel F. Haley and Mayme C. Nelson. She married Wesley G. Lemay April 28, 1947, in Paducah, Ky., who died Sept. 26, 1988. She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene in Tilton. Per the request of Mrs. Lemay, there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be 11 am Monday at Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Braundmeier officiating.Hughey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. David (Linda) Dunthorn of Knoxville, Tenn., and Glenda Winn and Leona Allaben, both of Danville; five grandchildren, Bobby Joe Winn, Nikki Winn, Vickie Schulte and Jason and Sarah Allaben; four brothers, Lee Haley and wife, Polly, of Checotah, Okla., Samuel Haley Jr. and wife, Leona, of Chenoa, Wilber Haley and wife, Vivian, of Mt. Vernon and Wayne Haley and wife, Tola, of Dwight; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Shipman of Sesser and Mrs. Jack (Mary) Runnels of Brandon Fla.; sisters-in-law, Mary Amore of Danville and Wilma Franklin and husband, Leo, of Mt. Vernon; brother-in-law, Dale Lemay and wife, Mary, of Mt, Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lemay was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.
