Henry C. Lemke, 83, of RFD 1, Urbana died at 5:45 a.m. today in American Manor Nursing Home in that city. He was a former resident of Belle Rive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Mittendorf Funeral Home in Champaign with the Rev. Harry J. Hansen officiating. burial will be in Nelson chapel cemetery in Douglas County. The body will lie in state at the Mittendorf Funeral Home where friends may call between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 and between 7:00 and 9:00 pm. Sunday.

Mr. Lemke was born October 19, 1883 in Belle Rive, the son of Theodore and Colista (Cockrum) Lemke.

On May 14, 1905 at Hugo, Ill. he was married to Daisy Elizabeth Brown who preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 1962.

He is survived by three sons, Clarence Lemke of RFD 4. Champaign, Wayne Lemke of RFD 1. Urbana and Edward Lemke RFD 1, Champaign; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Gilliland of RFD 2, Champaign, and Mrs. Raymond Jenkins of RFD 4, Champaign; a brother Lemuel Lemke, RFD 1, Belle Rive; a sister, Mrs. Orange Comer of RFD 1, Tuscola; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Lemke was a member of the Baptist Church.
