Lillie Leuty Dies at Age 83 Mrs.

Lillie Wester Leuty died at 6:00 a.m. today at her home 223 S. 15th Street, at the age of 83 years, eight months, and 27 days.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Heber Burge officiating and burial will be in Simmonstown Cemetery in Fields Township. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call.

Mrs. Leuty was born April 8, 1865 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Joel A. and Mary Ann (Simmons) McDaniel.

On November 21, 1884 she was married to Thomas A. Leuty, who survives.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Joel A. Leuty of Salem; one daughter, Mrs. Mattie Myers of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Clara Hodges, preceded her in death.
