Mrs. Viola Lipe

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, for Mrs. Viola Lipe, 73, Rt. 7, Mt. Vernon. She died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Lipe had been in ill health the last three months.

She was the daughter of Charles and Josephine (Butts) Childers.

Mrs. Lipe was a member of the Southern Baptist Campground church, Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde , in 1965; and a son, James A., in April, 1970.

The Rev. Adolph Zwingle will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Benton. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Laverne Lindemann of Stanton, Tenn.; one son, Charles of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Charles E. Childers of Christopher; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Vaughn of Benton and Mrs. Nora Albert of Tuscon, Ariz.; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
