Abram Lisenby
Abram Lisenby Dead Death Came to Aged Settler While Sitting in a Chair-One of the County Pioneers Abram Lisenby, aged 88, was found dead Friday at the home of his son-in-law, Gus Harlow, east of this city, and his death was attributed to heart failure. Mr. Lisenby, though very old, enjoyed excellent health, and was feeling unusually well Friday. He was sitting in his favorite chair and was thought to be asleep, but when members of the family tried to arouse him they found that the sleep was that of which knows no awakening. Mr. Lisenby was born in Tennessee, but came to Jefferson county when a mere boy, and has always considered this county his home. He was a member of the Baptist church. Two sons, J. A. and Henry Lisenby, and two daughters, Mrs. Gus Harlow and Mrs. Hardy Harlow, are left. The funeral was held Saturday at East Salem.
