Effie Estella Lisenby
Little Effie Estella Lisenby came as a heavenly sunbeam to the home of Mr. And Mrs. Wm. Lisenby Sept. 18th, 1907, to brighten their family circle for a few brief months. Sunday last the angels came and carried her spirit back to Jesus. She did not have length of days, nor heroic deeds to record, but her brief life played a part in influencing those who loved her to live for purity here and a heaven hereafter. The remains arrived here from Princeton, Ind., over the Southern on Monday afternoon and were taken to the home of Bob Yearwood on S. Sixth Street, from whence the funeral was conducted by Rev. W. A. Browder at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. She was buried at East Salem. Note: Effa Estella died of diphtheria. Source: Mt.
