James Lisenby, 85, Dies Early Today; Rites Saturday James Arthur Lisenby, a resident of Lowry Nursing Home for the past three years, died at 2:30 a.m. today in Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 85 years, eight months, and nine days. He was a retired farmer of the Dareville area. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pulley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Elliott officiating. Burial will be in East Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday. Mr. Lisenby was born Mar. 28, 1882, in Jefferson County, the son of James A. and Flora (Short) Lisenby. He was married to Viona C. Taylor, who preceded him in death in 1961. Survivors include a son Charlie A. Lisenby of Marion, Ind.: a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Ruth Rose of Orange Park, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Nelle King of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Stella Humphrey of Benton; and two grandchildren.
