Lydia Arminda (Chastain) Patton Lisenby
DEATH TO AN OLD RESIDENT Mrs. Minda Lisenby, wife of Abe Lisenby, living northeast of this city, died Friday evening, after a lingering illness of dropsy and heart trouble. She was 77 years of age. This announcement will cause much genuine sorrow among the older inhabitants of Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Lisenby's maiden name was Chastain. Her first husband was Joseph W. Patton and she spent the whole of her life in the neighborhood of Mt. Vernon. The union with Mr. Patton was blessed with five children, three of whom have preceded the mother to the better land. The two children who survive are Joe Patton of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Lum McBrian of Dodds Township. Her first husband having died in the 80's, she was united in marriage to Abe Lisenby about 1890. She was converted in early life and united with the Baptist church. The funeral services were held at East Salem, Sunday morning at 9 o'clock and the internment was at Salem cemetery. Source: Mt.
