Clara Dell (Whalen) Loge
Clara Dell Loge Dies at Age 82; Rites Saturday Mrs. Clara Dell Loge of 1917 College died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 82 years, eight months and 28 days. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Ace Summers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. Mrs. Loge was born Nov. 25, 1879, in Wayne county, the daughter of John and Mary (Maulding) Whalen. On Nov. 4, 1903, at Belle Rive, she was married to Charlie Loge who preceded her in death Oct. 6, 1932. She was also preceded in death by a son, Claude Loge. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W.A. Hargis of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Opal Lyle of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Thomas Settle of Ina; four brothers, Roy E. Whalen of Rochelle, Vern Whalen of Bluford and Charles E. Whalen of Roxana, and Robert Whalen of ALton; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Guthrie of Peoria; seven granchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
